Barwon Darling Alliance

The Alliance was born out of a desire of the Murdi Paaki Regional Council of ATSIC and the participating Shire Councils (Bourke, Walgett, Brewarrina, Coonamble and Central Darling) to address their common regional concerns regarding high unemployment and serious quality of life issues.

The mission of the Barwon Darling Alliance is to combine its members' resources to support and maintain sustainable economic growth and employment in the region and to develop positively the social capital and the lifestyle and culture of its people.
